Hatha yoga classes are, generally, offer 90 minutes of asana practices for all levels. Classes begin with pranayama and warm ups followed by Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskara). The second half of class is comprised of a series of seated, supine, standing and balance poses. Class concludes with a restful final Savasana. Some inversions, hand balances and backbends are incorporated into our practice. Our teachers are trained to provide modifications for all poses to accommodate all ages, physical ability, daily need and experience levels. We stress to each student the freedom of letting go of comparisons and judgment and making each trip to the mat a time to do what’s best for you, your body and your mind.
Hatha Flow classes are structured in a similar way to our Hatha classes but without the inversions, hand balances and backbends. The intention is always on bringing breath awareness to movement.
